| Sheldon
L. Kasman, B.A. (University of Toronto), is a graduate of York
University's Osgoode Hall Law School with both an LL.B.
(1971) and an LL.M (1982), and is a native Torontonian. He established
his own law practice in 1974. Mr. Kasman is an aggressive civil
litigator who advocates for injured victims. Over the past thirty
years, Mr. Kasman has provided dedicated, personalized service
to his clients in obtaining maximum compensation for them. As
counsel, he has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of
Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Mr. Kasman has served
clients on numerous occasions in hearings before the Financial
Services Commission of Ontario, the Criminal Injuries Compensation
Board, the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, the Workplace
Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal, the Canada Pension
Plan Review Tribunal and the Canada Pension Appeals Board. He
is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association, the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America, The Advocates' Society, the Ontario
Bar Association and the Toronto Lawyers' Association. |

Herschel C.
Sobel, formerly a partner in the firm of Rosenberg, Smith,
Paton, Matlow & Hyman, joined Sheldon L. Kasman in the
practice of law in 1987. Mr. Sobel, also a Toronto native,
obtained his B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1965 and
is a 1968 graduate of the University
of Toronto Law School. He provides attentive and thorough
legal services for real estate and mortgage transactions,
leases, wills, powers of attorney and estates, incorporations,
shareholders' agreements and partnership agreements. Mr. Sobel
strives to make real estate closings go as smoothly as possible
without compromising thoroughness required, whether he is
acting on behalf of purchasers, vendors, mortgagors or mortgagees.
He is also an expert negotiator in complex commercial real
estate matters.
